We found Diane McConaghy on Zillow and sent a request to her. She contacted us right away and set up a time to come and speak with us. We had a number in mind that would make it worth our time to sell and were frank that , if she didn't think we could get that number, we would not put the house on the market. After touring the house and reviewing the comps with us (which she had brought to the meeting) we decided to put the house on the market and came up with a timeframe to get ready. She also explained their showing process, and how they would market our property. I asked Diane to go around the house with me and let us know what we needed to do for best showing. We only had to remove a few pieces of furniture in our living room, touch up some paint, and the obvious cleaning and depersonalization. We had intended to replace the carpet before we put the house on the market, and she gave us some great advice about that which saved us time and money. During the prep time Diane regularly touched base with us to see where we were in the prep stage. Once we were ready, we set up a time for pictures to be taken. The pictures were great! The showed the house accurately, but at its best. She explained the automated appointment showing process to us so we would be looking for requests and respond timely. The house went on the market that afternoon! We also received emails confirming the house was on the market (so exciting!!!). The appointment process for showings was easy to use and helpful if we could not accommodate someone. However, we didn't have to use it long. Within a week we had multiple offers - and over asking! Diane reviewed all the offers with us and helped us to decide which would work best for our needs. The offer we accepted wanted a quick closing. The whole team at RE/MAX Select kept us abreast of what was going on, what they were doing, what we needed to do, advice on timeframes etc. so we could plan to find an new temporary place to live and arrange to get there. Even when we goofed things up (we accidentally weren't home when an inspector came) Diane worked to keep things moving. The closing was simple and, in our case, quick. We are now able to just pick up and move to our retirement destination when the time comes. We can't thank the whole team that we worked with enough for helping us get there and giving us so much less to worry about!
